Frequently asked questions
What if I'm unsure about coaching or don’t know my coaching goals yet?
That’s completely normal, and we'll explore this during your complimentary consultation. Many clients come to coaching knowing they want change, but not yet sure what that looks like. Part of our work together is clarifying your priorities, identifying areas for growth, and defining clear, achievable goals. You don’t need to have all the answers before we start- that’s what the process is for.
Who is executive coaching for?
Anyone who wants to make changes in their career or improve their leadership skills can benefit from executive coaching. While Katherine specializes in coaching CEOs, chiefs of staff, and entrepreneurs, she also coaches clients in academia and Wall Street, as well as moms who are re-entering the workforce, and other clients from various backgrounds. Reach out if you are curious whether executive coaching could help you.
What does the scheduling and time commitment look like for coaching?
Coaching is most effective when it’s consistent but flexible to your schedule. Most clients meet for coaching once every two weeks for 60 minutes, though weekly or monthly sessions are also possible depending on your needs. Engagements typically last 4 to 6 months, giving you enough time to see real progress. Sessions are held virtually, so you can join from anywhere in the world.
How much does coaching cost?
Coaching is an investment in your career and your leadership skills. Pricing depends on the package and length of engagement, and I've often helped write up the rationale for coaching to be covered as part of professional development budgets. During our consultation, I’ll walk you through pricing options and discuss what best aligns with your needs and goals.
What kind of results can I expect?
Results vary depending on your goals, but clients often report clearer decision-making, greater confidence, improved communication, stronger executive presence, and tangible career progress such as landing their dream job, promotions, improved team performance, or faster startup scaling. Together, we’ll define what success looks like for you and track progress along the way.
How is executive coaching different from mentoring or therapy?
Coaching is results-driven and action-oriented. While therapy often works through past experiences and emotions, and mentoring involves someone advising from their own experience, coaching is about helping you uncover your own solutions, strengthen leadership skills, and achieve specific goals. Coaching is focused on forward momentum and measurable results, and your executive coach acts as your accountability partner.
Is coaching confidential?
Confidentiality is at the heart of coaching. Everything you share in our sessions remains private and will not be disclosed without your permission. This ensures you have a judgment-free space to explore challenges, test new ideas, and develop as a leader.
